Mesut is our principal director and a second-generation dentist (DMD), holds an MClinDent in Orthodontics and is currently completing his MSc in Facial Aesthetics.
With over a decade of experience in dentistry, his commitment extends beyond delivering top-notch Orthodontic treatments. As the Principal Director of 55a Dental, Mesut ensures that patients receive exceptional care from a highly qualified team.
With a clinical emphasis on achieving facial harmony through Invisalign, he is passionate about leveraging digital dentistry for innovative solutions in the field. Combining expertise and enthusiasm, Mesut is dedicated to enhancing smiles and overall facial aesthetics.
He has a keen interest in history which plays a big role in passion for travelling. Other hobbies include sports and cars.
Our principal dentist graduated in Stockholm (Sweden) and has over 35 years of experience in dentistry. Dr Ahmed provides a range of general treatments and specialises in implants. He has a blend of “old-fashioned” and modern dentistry when carrying out treatments which our patients have been very fond and appreciative of.
Dr Ahmed has seen it all when it comes to dental problems patients face both short-term and long-term, always giving information of the range of appropriate treatments applicable and deciding the most appropriate one for each individual.
Dr Sedef Hepdarcan gained her diploma in Dental Surgery and PhD in Orthodontics at Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry and Yeditepe University Institute of Health Sciences in 2012 and 2016 consecutively. She has been treating patients in private dentistry for over 8 years starting in Istanbul and now carrying on in London.
She has several published scientific articles and is the editor, and one of the board of directors, for the Turkish Lingual Orthodontic Society. In her spare time, she likes to sing, play guitar and has a keen interest in reading about psychology.
Dr Morteza Dehghanpour
BSc (Hons) 1st Class | BDS | MFDS RCSed | MClinDent (Endo) Eastman | MEndo RCSEd
After qualifying from the prestigious Bart’s and the London School of Dentistry, Morteza completed his Foundation Training in the London Deanery.
He worked as a general dental practitioner across London and pursued his interest in endodontics (root canal treatment) by completing his speciality training at the world-renowned Eastman Dental Institute in London. He subsequently passed membership in endodontics examinations for both the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and England.
He accepts referrals for complex root canal treatment procedures, diagnosis of dental pain, dental trauma injuries, as well as endodontic surgery and carries out all treatments under high magnification using a microscope.
Aside from caring for patients, Morteza is a passionate educator, teaching endodontics to dentists across the country.
Outside of dentistry, he is an avid sports fan and traveller and enjoys spending time with his young family.
Dr Reem graduated from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2014 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery diploma and is recognised by the General Dental Council as a General Dentist. She is currently ongoing her Masters degree in Restorative Dental Practice at the University College London and has also taken additional courses including oral surgery, endodontic and indirect restoration.
Dr Reem is a considerate and approachable dentist with a passion for delivering ethical dentistry of the highest standards. Her personal ethos in the art of dentistry is to take a calm and sympathetic approach.
To offer comfortable, minimally invasive treatment with the best interests of the patient in mind and to guide the patient through all the available options to allow informed and considered choices to be made.
Dr Astrid studied dentistry at the University of Bristol Dental School, graduating in 1987 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery diploma. She has over 30 years’ experience as a dentist, with a relaxed and caring manner that makes the most nervous patients feel at ease.
Dr Astrid takes a holistic approach to looking after her patients, educating them in how dental health and general wellbeing are entwined, involving them in planning their treatment using 3D imaging and photography. She uses minimally invasive techniques and the latest innovations in digital dentistry to achieve the best possible outcomes and is a certified Invisalign provider who has a passion for creating beautiful smiles with aesthetic dentistry.
Martha graduated from Sopockie Dental Schools with a diploma in Dental Hygiene in 2015 and continued her education completing courses in Treating and Maintaining Periodontal Diseases. She can be described as a highly adaptable hygienist focused on patient treatment and all-round dental hygiene care.
Martha has been working in private dentistry for over 16 years, with over 8 years being as a qualified hygienist using air flow polishing and offering high quality teeth whitening treatments.
Patients described her way of treatments as pain-free, comforting and super-friendly. She prides herself in having the ability to treat phobic patients as well as nervous patients, and her high expertise in motivating patients to improve their dental hygiene and diet.
Elena graduated from King’s College Hospital London with a diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy RCS Eng 2013. Since then, she has worked in private dental practices with specialists and general dentists providing excellent dental hygiene and therapy care.
Elena has over 10 years’ experience at teeth whitening and air flow polishes to achieve beautiful healthy teeth and gums, also providing patients with individual oral hygiene instructions to maintain clean teeth and gums. Her way of providing treatment can be described as relaxed, gentle and reassuring to even the most nervous of patients as well as being informative and thorough.
Rawan is a committed professional in the field of periodontics. She earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery in Saudi Arabia in 2014 and went on to obtain a Master’s degree in Periodontics from Malmo University, Sweden, in 2021. Currently, Rawan is a Ph.D. student at Eastman Dental Institute, where she is dedicated to advancing the field of periodontics through pioneering techniques and innovative solutions. With her academic and clinical experience, Rawan is a promising figure in the realm of oral healthcare.
Fatma is recognised by the GDC as a qualified dental nurse and has been with us for over a year. She has over 4 years’ experience in private dentistry and has worked alongside many specialists including implantologists and orthodontists. Her kind and caring attitude towards patients makes everyone feel comfortable and happy for the duration of their visit.
Karen is our head dental nurse, GDC registered with over 42 years’ experience in private dentistry. She has been assisting across all treatments in dentistry from implants to orthodontic treatments to hygiene therapy.
She is extremely friendly and always smiling. Her warm and amicable nature is sure to make for a great welcome to all our patients, as well as putting them at total ease.
